In this sequel, Janie finds herself with the Springs, the family she was abducted from. But all she wants is to go home to her Mommy and Daddy. She doesn’t love this biological family, doesn’t WANT to love them. But she can’t help connecting to them. Janie is torn and now she must choose: should she stay with the family she was born to or the family that raised her?
I liked this book for a couple of specific reasons:
1. You got to see the perspectives of all of the family members. When a certain life crisis occurs, you usually only get to see the main character’s point of view. It is refreshing to look at how other people see it and what their feelings are on something.
2. The feelings there aren’t generic ones. I mean, it isn’t just everyone being sympathetic and the main character isn’t just trying to make everyone happy. Everyone is selfish and confused and wanting to come to terms with the events.
If you liked the first book, you will definitely enjoy this sequel!
Happy reading ~
