Things We Know By Heart by Jessi Kirby

I had waited so long for this book that I was surprised with how quickly I finished it.

When Quinn’s boyfriend dies, his organs were donated to those in need. Quinn has made contact with all of the recipients – except for the one with her boyfriend’s heart. He’s the one Quinn desperately wants to meet. When she risks everything to meet him, she’s in for a big surprise. Colton is undeniably attractive and the connection between the two of them is extremely strong. But that just makes Quinn feel guilty for not telling him the real reason she went to meet him. Now she must make the decision between telling the truth and risking what they have or keeping it all a secret and never letting go.

This book was a let-down in a lot of ways. Things moved along quickly but the main point of the story didn’t come through for me all the time. I didn’t enjoy that the romance part was first and foremost and the main character herself seemed to have almost no personality. I’m sure the author wanted to express that Quinn had lost a big part of herself when her boyfriend died but it ended up showing Quinn as having nothing distinguishable. At the end of the day, it wasn’t with reading.

Happy reading ~
