The Stranger by Harlan Coben

One of my biggest problems reading any mystery or crime novel is that they are usually part of a huge series. Sometimes, the title that catches my eye is book #22 and then that means that I have to read all of the previous books before I can read that one (I hate not reading a series in order). To avoid all of that, I try to find books that are independent crime novels, like this one!

Adam is a happy man. He has a happy marriage to a beautiful woman named Corinne and two wonderful boys. He lives in a nice house and has a good job. He has no problems whatsoever.
Until he meets The Stranger, who reveals a devastating secret about his wife. When Adam confronts Corinne, it shatters his perfect life. When Corinne runs away, Adam is determined to find out what is really going on. And it’s starting to become more complicated and dangerous than it seemed…

Hands down, this was an amazing read. It was fast paced and jam-packed with action. There were a lot of characters involved and the story was told from different perspectives, making it really interesting. It was important to pay attention to the detail; with all the different names and side plots, it can get quite confusing. I was able to figure out part of the ending based on the way the author was introducing the characters but the other part of it completely took me aback. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good mystery/thriller to read!

Happy reading ~
