Room by Emma Donoghue

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve read this book but I just can’t get enough of it. Before I rave any more, here is the review:

Jack has always lived in Room; it is the only place he has ever known. In this 11 x 11 foot space, Ma and Jack and all of Jack’s inanimate friends live “happily”. However, Ma is realizing that this small space can’t hold them for much longer and that they need to escape – fast.

The book is told in the voice of 5 year old Jack, making it that much more horrific of an ordeal to read about. The childhood innocence is captured beautifully and the transitions that Jack goes through are detailed and believable. This is a book that is definitely worth it, one of the few that I would even recommend you buy and keep forever and ever and never let go of it. So what are you waiting for? READ IT AND LOVE IT!!!!!

Happy reading ~
