So I was hanging out with my friend at Indigo when she recommended this harlequin teen book. Normally, I don’t give them too much of a chance but my friend has pretty good taste in books so I decided to give it a go.
This book is about a girl named Leila who is on this amazing road trip to the Northern Lights in Alaska. The story itself is told in 5 parts, with each part being dedicated to a person she meets on this journey. Each of the people she meets is unique and yet she manages to seamlessly win their hearts and change their lives.
I absolutely love this book. The characters are so easy to connect to and even if I’ve never been in those exact situations, I have experienced similar feelings. This book has made me laugh, made me think, and has tugged at my heart strings enough to make me slightly teary. Throughout the entire book, you wonder about Leila and who she really is.
I don’t know if I would necessarily classify this book as a teen novel because I think everyone should read it and some point in their lives. The story is great, the emotions are there, and it just makes you appreciate life so much more.
Whoever is reading this blog, PLEASE READ THIS BOOK FOR YOUR OWN SAKE BECAUSE IT IS ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!!!!
Happy reading ~
