Inferno by Dan Brown

Even though school has started, I’m determined to keep reading. However, it will definitely be taking me longer to get through my books. Anyways….

Just like every Dan Brown novel, there is some history theme involved and in this case, it is Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy. Robert Langdon is once again caught up in a thrilling goose chase but this time, he has no memory of the circumstances that have caused him to land in a hospital in Florence, Italy. Along with the help of a Dr. Sienna Brooks, he discovers that he is in possession of an object that could hold the key to humanity’s survival…and time is running out!

So when I first started reading the novel, I found it to be a bit slower and less flowy than Dan Brown’s usual books. However, I quickly got into it and it captured my attention. The ideas presented in this book are interesting and both the good and bad sides are displayed. The one thing I love about Dan Brown is how wonderfully he describes places; when he talks about a painting or a country (or anything for that matter), I find myself wanting to visit there. I feel armed with these new tidbits of information and it makes me feel like when I go and visit those sites, I will be able to see things from a new perspective.

Another reason I really liked this story is because it combined my interest in science as well as my love of history. When it is so brilliantly blended together, how can you not fall for this book?

Anyways, read it, enjoy it, and maybe even get back to me on what you think of it!

Happy reading ~
